mtbRideMatch was built to solve a simple problem: finding the right people to ride with should not be this hard.
If you have ever tried to organize a ride through group chats, social posts, or general meetup apps, you have probably run into the same issues we did. You do not know who is going to show up, skill levels are all over the place, and there is very little context about the ride itself. Sometimes you end up with the perfect group, but most of the time it is a gamble.
We wanted something better.
Why This Site Exists
mtbRideMatch is designed specifically for mountain bikers. Not a general event platform, not a social feed, and not another place where visibility depends on algorithms.
The goal is simple:
- Help riders find others who match how they actually ride
- Make it easy to create and join rides with clear expectations
- Remove the randomness from group rides
Instead of hoping the right people see your post, you can connect based on what actually matters: location, schedule, riding style, and preferences.
Built by Riders Who Ran Into the Same Problem
This project started with a few mountain bikers who also happen to be professional software engineers with several years of experience.
After years of dealing with the same frustrations, we decided to build the tool we wished existed. Something focused, simple, and actually useful for real rides.
No noise. No follower counts. No ranking systems.
